#BBQ: Our 2nd FAVORITE BBQ Sauce
The start of summer means the start of one of the most glorious parts of a foodie's annual calendar: grill season! All summer long we'll be bringing you pecan-friendly recipes for the grill. Besides using pecan wood and shells for smoking meats, there are many uses for pecans for all types of summer grillin' favorites! 

Now you may be wondering why we're starting off with our SECOND favorite BBQ sauce. Well, that's simple. Our favorite BBQ sauce is by far our Bourbon Bacon BBQ Sauce--which, let me tell ya y'all, will truly make your Southern Soul sing! Sorry folks, but nothing can top this reigning champion of our hearts (and stomachs!). So if you don't mess around with anything but the best quit reading this and grab yourself some of our Bourbon Bacon BBQ

HOWEVER if you're looking to spend some time in the kitchen with the kids--or away from them (hey, we get it!)--here's a recipe for Pecan BBQ Sauce! We HIGHLY suggest you make a double batch--you'll want to put this sauce on EVERYTHING. 
Our tip? Add a little to deviled eggs for some BBQ Deviled Eggs.



1 can (12oz) Tomato Paste

1c ground Pecan Ridge Pecans 

3/4c water

1/3c Brown Sugar

1/4c chopped onion

1/4c Juicy Lucy Farms Honey

2T Lemon Juice

1T Yellow Mustard 

1T El Molino Tortillas Season Salt 

2 Garlic Cloves

1/4c cider vinegar



Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and summer, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until thickened, stirring ocassionally.
